The events of the last few weeks have been startling and frightening. Who would ever have thought, just a few short years ago, that we would see the government bailing out the big banks, mortgage companies and insurance giants? As these words are being written, it takes no stretch of one’s imagination to realize that complete economic collapse could be just around the corner. Our elected officials seem bent upon bringing such a catastrophe to our very doorsteps.
It is with these thoughts in mind, the Jefferson Republican Party issues this urgent plea to all citizens of the United States of America. Now is the time to take necessary measures to protect one’s family and property. The future is very uncertain. Should a complete economic collapse take place, we could be caught between a rioting populace and a government wielding the sword of martial law. It is not only wise, but also prudent, to insure that your family will be protected and provided for.
We can only hope that those who have the most to gain are only trying to use scare tactics and the element of fear in order to goad us in to abiding by their wishes and goals. We sincerely hope that these claims are only bluster, but it is best to prepare for the worst.
In 1776 Thomas Paine wrote in the opening line of The American Crisis, “These are the times that try men’s souls.” Paine had no idea that line would apply more to our day, than to his. These are trying times. Now more than ever, it is time for real men and women of character to take a stand for Liberty, else future generations may never know there ever was such a thing.
